One of the most popular places in rio, Confeitaria Colombo is a beautiful coffeehouse located downtown. It has been there since 1894 and has served as a meeting place for Brazilian writers, artists, politicians and others. Phil meets celebrity chef Guga Rocha. They indulge on feijoada balls - or bohlino - a deep fried ball of the national dish feijoada, manioc root and pork ribs with guava and cheesy cornmeal bread. For dessert try the restaurants play on cheese and fruit, they call it Romeo and Juliet .
