Atmosphere

Phil starts his Dubai trip at the bar/restaurant at the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa (the tallest skyscraper in the world). He enjoys a cocktail, some snacks, and a gold crusted burger!

Orfali Bros

Phil meets the Orfali brothers at their restaurant, Orfali Bros! Run by Mohammad, Wassim and Omar Orfali, Orfali Bros is the number 1 rated restaurant in the Middle East and North Africa. He tries homemade kombucha, corn tostadas, caviar buns, smoky eggplant, wagyu dumplings… and then finishes with an amazing burger.

Nihal Restaurant

Phil meets his friend and travel vlogger Drew Binsky and his wife Deanna for lunch at Nihal Restaurant for some delicious Indian food! They converse about travel over some baradhas (savory Indian pancakes).

Arabian Tea House Restaurant & Cafe

After lunch, Phil, Drew, and Deanna stop for more food and some tea at Arabian Tea House. They meet the owners Rania and Ali, and are served machboos lamb, chicken saloona, and lamb tikka. Of course, they also enjoy some tea!

Nara Desert Escape

Phil travels to the desert to meet Mohammad from Nara Desert Escape, and he tries his hand at Falconry! He is relieved to leave the session with both of his eyes intact. Afterwards, they enjoy some Arabic lamb madfoon.

Bait Maryam

Translating to House of Maryam, Bait Maryam delivers the experience of eating a home cooked meal within the city of Dubai. Maryam’s daughter Salam Daqqaq cooks the Palestinain/Jordanian food that her mother cooked for her. Phil tries kibbeh nayyeh, a dish of raw lamb and bulgur. It is so delicious that it gives Phil a transportive and emotional experience.

Ski Dubai

Phil meets up with his new friends Logan and TJ for some sledding at the indoor ski slope inside of the mall of the Emirates!

Frying Pan Adventures

Phil explores the Al Ras neighborhood of Dubai with tour guide Arva Ahmed. He tries regag, (an Iranian crepe-like bread) with egg, spiced potato chips, and fish sauce. He also enjoys a cup of sweet chai. They keep walking to another bread stand, trying a flatbread with za'atar and cheese. They finish their tour with a bite of camel-milk chocolate!

Ossiano

Phil meets chef Gregoire Berger at his restaurant Ossiano in the Atlantis, The Palm hotel. They dine in front of a beautiful aquarium and enjoy alcohol-free wine. The server removes the lit candle in front of him and cuts it - revealing it to be made of foie gras! The magical presentation and preparation of the food is a delight to experience.

Al Qbabh Restaurant

For his final meal in Dubai Phil meets up with all of his new friends at Al Qbabh, one of the few restaurants in Dubai that specializes in Emirati food. They feast on spectacular platters of grilled seafood and rice.
