PHIL'S Taipei LOCATIONS

Chiseng Temple Market

Located in the Dadaocheng area, this openaire street food market is Phil’s first meal in Taipei. He meets up with Charlene Yang (@taipeieater) to sample some of the best food stands. They share a bowl of pork knuckle soup, and some fresh baked black pepper cake (Taiwanese pork buns) before checking out the beautiful temple.

Lin’s Wagashi Confectionery

After Chiseng Temple, Phil and Charlene take a short walk to grab some dessert at Lin’s Wagashi Confectionery. This Japanese/Taiwanese pastry shop specializes in red bean wafers, made to order! They also sell delicious pre-packaged pineapple cakes, a perfect gift for someone special (or yourself).

RAW

Phil is joined by television host Janet Hsieh at one of the hottest reservations in Taipei, RAW. Amei Tea House

After Jiufen Street, Phil and Ivy meet Phil’s wife Monica at the famous Amei Tea House. This beautiful tea house has often been mistaken as an inspiration for the film Spirited Away because of its similar architecture style. They enjoy a delicious assortment of desserts and, of course, a cup of tea.

Keelung Night Market

After tea, Ivy takes Phil and Monica to one of the best night markets in the world: Keelung Night Market. They try a “one bite sausage” with garlic, a “nutritious sandwich” (a deep fried sandwich), and many more tasty treats!
